Whitlingham Junction Norwich in September 1981 with the line to Sheringham to the left. A class 101 on a Yarmouth to Norwich working is passing the box. Unfortunately someone decided to light a bonfire just as I had set up my 200m lens.

The 1505 from Sheringham arrives at Cromer on 15th March 1980. The old age tradition of token exchanges has now disappeared from this branch after signalling modernisation.

The 1311 Sheringham to Norwich loads a few passengers at West Runton. 16th July 1979.

Just across the road from the terminus at Sheringham is the original Midland and Great Northern Railway station building, of course home to the North Norfolk Railway. Waggon und Mascinenbau railbus E79660 was recorded here on 16th July 1978. I am just about old enough to remember these units meandering over the points at Barnwell Junction Cambridge en route to Mildenhall in the early sixties.
