  • Vickers Varsity WF425 at Duxford.
  • Vickers Varsity WF331 captured at Waterbeach Airfield, Cambridgeshire, on a Burma Star Display day. 28th August 1973. The Varsity was from No 5 Flying Training School at RAF Oakington a few miles away. Waterbeach Airfield has now closed completely and is due to be sold off for housing. RAF Oakington closed in 1976 and the site is due to be developed as the new village of Northstowe.
  • De Havilland Chipmunk at Duxford. August 1982. Takes me back to the air experience flights with the Air Cadets. First flight was in WG458.
