  • Denver Junction on 31st December 1979. Single line working is in force between here and Littleport. The crew of 47007 are giving up the single line token. The working is the 1036 ex Liverpool Street. The junction signal is for the freight only line to Abbey.
  • A two car Cravens unit approaches Milton Crossing near Cambridge forming the 1103 Cambridge to Kings Lynn. 13th January 1980.
  • 37017 arrives at it's destination with the 1036 Liverpool Street to Kings Lynn on the last day of 1979. An 08 shunts wagons in the goods yard.
  • On a very cold and frosty 31st December 1979 and steam billowing from the carriage heating 37087 departs from Kings Lynn with the 1137 to Liverpool Street.
  • Littleport on 5th May 1980 with the 1036 Liverpool Street to Kings Lynn arriving behind 37087.
  • 37050 stands at the buffer stops at KIngs Lynn after bringing in the 1436 from Liverpool Street.  17th August 1978
  • 37118 arrives at Downham with the 1236 from Liverpool Street. 16th August 1978
  • Magdalen Road on 16th August 1978. 31197 is passing on the 0836 from Liverpool Street. In the background is the redundant signal arm for the line to Wisbech.
  • 31105 heads the 1130  Kings Lynn to Liverpool Street near Queen Adelaide between Ely and Littleport. Single line working is in force after a Middleton Towers to Doncaster freight had ripped up the up line at Littleport the previous evening.  9th June 1979
  • Whoops. The scene at Sandhill Crossing, Littleport after a Middleton Towers to Doncaster sand train had become derailed and ripped up the Up line the previous evening.  9th June 1979
  • Chesterton Junction Signal Box.  22nd November 1978
  • Denver Junction Signal Box on 29th March 1980. The signalman is returning to the box with the staff for the single line to Abbey. The picture is taken from the West Norfolk Freightline Railtour which has just rejoined the main line from Abbey. Denver was the junction for the Stoke Ferry Branch.
  • Waterbeach. Station entrance on the down platform. This was attached to the station house which has now been demolished. Signal box to the left.
  • Waterbeach circa 1981 during an East Coast Main Line diversion. The image shows the crossing keepers hut and the goods shed ? These along with the signal box, manual gates and station house have now disappeared.
  • Littleport Signal Box interior.  5th May 1980.
  • Panoramic view of Kings Lynn Yard and Station.  17th May 1980. The goods yard is now a Morrisons Supermarket.
  • Railfreight wagons (Ferryvans?) being loaded with what looks like potatoes at The Potter Group sidings at Ely in 1981. "The Ship of the Fens" Ely Cathedral is prominent on the skyline.
  • 31108 departs Kings Lynn with the 1330 to Liverpool Street.  17th May1980
  • 55019 (Royal Highland Fusilier) passes Waterbeach with the 1005 Kings Cross to York during an East Coast Main Line diversion on Sunday 20th September 1981.
  • 47583 passes Chesterton Junction, Cambridge.  The livery is Stratford's contribution to the royal wedding of Charles and Diana.  Photo dated August 1981.
