  • The Leyland Experimental Vehicle RDB975874 was trialed on the East Suffolk Line during 1980. It stands at Ipswich in October of that year after arrival from Lowestoft

  • Westerfield station house built by The Eastern Union Railway. 15th June 2009
  • Westerfield Junction on 27th June 1979 with the 1455 from Lowestoft approaching the station. The Felixstowe branch diverges to the right behind the signal box. The signal box closed on 22nd March 1999 when the Felixstowe branch was resignalled and controlled from Colchester Power Box.
  • Turbostar, 170270 stands at Westerfield on 2nd July 2019. In the background a temporary footbridge has been erected to enable pedestrians to cross the line. The B1077 road has been closed while Network Rail carry out work on the barriers, conversion of AHB to full barriers. To the left is signal CO206. A once familiar unit across the area, 170270 has now been transferred to Cardiff Canton depot.
  • During the summer of 2019, the B1077 road which crosses the East Suffolk line at Westerfield was closed while Network Rail carried out conversion work on the crossing from AHB to full barriers. This was the scene  on 12th June 2019 showing the temporary footbridge  over the line.
  • The disused station at Bealings between Westerfield and Woodbridge, built by The station building here is of a different design to most of the East Suffolk line stations as it was built by the  Eastern Union Railway. Viewed on  26th February 2009. The station closed on 17th September 1956.   • The road approach to Bealings recorded on 7th June 2021. The goods shed had been adapted and extended  to enlarge the Mallard House Business Centre.  The station building is of Eastern Union Railway design, similar to Woodbridge.

  • Woodbridge facing Melton.  1st April 1977. The goods shed was to the left abutting the station building. Only the end wall remains.
