  • A fine shot of Beccles c1958 with Britannia Pacific 70034 "Thomas Hardy" arriving on a Yarmouth South Town to Liverpool Street working. Beccles North Junction signal box can be seen to the left. The junction split signals can be seen at the end of the platform. To the left, the Waveney Valley Line. The centre, Yarmouth South Town and the right to Lowestoft. Image:- J.S. Doubleday.
  • Beccles facing north towards Yarmouth and Lowestoft. The North Junction box is to the left. An M and GN Special is just leaving the Waveney Valley Line probably about the time of the lines closure. The engine shed is to the right. Image:- J S Doubleday.
  • Beccles Engine Shed. This was demolished in 2006.
  • A brand new Class 31 ( D5508) arrives at Beccles c1958/9 with a working from Yarmouth South Town to Liverpool Street.  Behind the station is Beccles North Signal Box. The junction signals can be seen at the rear of the platform. Left line to the Tivetshall branch, centre, Yarmouth South Town and right to Lowestoft. Photographer unknown.

  • The 1450 Lowestoft to Ipswich passes through the Suffolk countryside at Barnby between Oulton Broad South and Beccles.  20th February 1976.

  • In a pleasant rural setting the 1155 Lowestoft to Ipswich has just left Oulton Broad South on 20th February 1976.

  • Cravens Class 105 two car unit forms the 1048 Ipswich to Lowestoft on 10th January 1976. The down platform is no longer in use, the building used as a hairdresses. The line is now singled at this point.
  • 47018 arrives at Oulton Broad South with the 1650 Liverpool Street to Lowestoft. 11th June 1976.

  • Oulton Broad South from the road bridge on 11th March 2009 facing Beccles. The Down platform is no longer in use, the station buildings now used as a hairdressers.
  • Class 101 heads the 1554 Lowestoft to Ipswich at what was Oulton Broad South Junction. The track bed to the right went to Kirkley and Lowestoft South Side.To the right of the dmu can be seen the remains of the junction signal box. Image dated  Sunday May 17th 1975. The line to Lowestoft South Side closed in 1970. See next photo.
  • Oulton Broad South Junction, undated. The line to the right went to Lowestoft South Side, Kirkley and the docks area. The main line to the left heads towards the swing bridge.
  • A nice shot of Oulton Broad South Junction, with a freight coming off the line from Lowestoft South Side. The line to Lowestoft South Side closed in 1970. The signal box was abolished on 20th February 1973. Photographer unknown.
  • Oulton Broad South Station viewed from  near the location of the Oulton Broad South Signal Box. The track bed of the  line to Kirkley and Lowestoft South Side is to the left with the sharp curve towards the swing bridge to the right. The Cravens unit at the platform is the 1155 Ipswich to Lowestoft. 25th March 1977.
